New Holland ForageCam, Cemos Auto Chopping from Claas, and Fendt ForageQualityCam all pursue the same goal: to evaluate and control grain processing in corn silage in real time during chopping. Cameras in the discharge chute record the crop flow, and AI analyzes the CSPS value (Corn Silage Processing Score) as a measure of the degree of grain crushing and thus the quality of processing. Based on this, the automatic system intervenes: Cemos Auto Chopping adjusts the cracker gap, driving speed, and engine power in the event of deviations; ForageCam sets the processing parameters to the specified CSPS value; with ForageQualityCam, the driver sees the analysis in the cab and makes manual corrections. The results can be documented, and with Claas also in Claas connect – sampling is no longer necessary, and processes in the narrow harvest window become more stable.
