With the Top VT 12540 C, Pöttinger offers a four-rotor rake with a working width of 12.50 m and deliberately simple equipment. The machine dispenses with complex technology in favor of lower weight and lower tractor requirements – two double-acting control units are sufficient. The front rotors are hydropneumatically relieved and their height can be adjusted using a crank. At the headland, the front and rear rotors lift at different times. The support wheel runs in front of the rotor, a feature unique to Pöttinger. For road transport, the rake remains below 4 m in height even with the tine arms mounted.
