With the brand new Claas Xerion Series 12, the Harsewinkel-based company currently has the most powerful all-wheel drive tractor with continuously variable transmission technology on the market. The main field of application for the all-wheel steered machines is to be heavy pulling work. The series includes two models with up to 653 hp maximum output and engine torque of up to 3,100 Nm at a low 1,300 rpm. This is provided by the familiar 15.6-liter Mercedes-Benz six-cylinder engine with low-speed concept. For power transmission, ground protection and comfort, Claas has developed new Terra Trac triangular running gear. However, the Xerion 12 can also be ordered with large twin wheels and 50 km/h top speed. The engineers also placed great emphasis on a spacious cab and an exceptionally powerful hydraulic system with a delivery rate of up to 537 l/min.
